1.                Solar Power Generation- India still relies on China for equipment , after significant progress in creating capacity for solar energy generation in last few years , PMs emphasis since 2014 new fillip to solar power installetion, alternative source of energy(Main source of energy), India expended solar energy eight times from 2650MW on may 26,2014 to over 20 GW on Jan 31, 2018  and 28.18 GW on March 31,2019.  Govts plan 20 GW upto 2022 achieved four year ahead of schedule.  Now new plan 100 GW upto 2022 in taken in 2015. India blessed with plenty of sun light for Most of the year. Indias policy on solar plant installation, but not solar panel manufacturer. Till now no plan for manufacturer.  Low cost China Imports  undercut its ambitious to develop its own solar technology suppliers . (Link With No 4)

2.                According to Bloomberg NEF org almost half of the world electricity will be generated from renewable energy source by 2050. India ranked 4th in wind energy generation and second in asia after China. Four countries of world   China , USA, Germany,India. India’s  capacity 35 GW . 1500 MW Muppandal in TN and Jaisalmer in Raj with capacity of 1064 MW.

3.                PMGSY-III, CC on economic affairs has approved the launch of the third phase of the Pradhan Mantri Gram sadak Yojana , Proposed to consolidate 125000 km road length in the state. Involves routs & major rural links connecting habitations to gramin agriculture markets , higher secondary schools and hospitals. Fund ratio 60;40 centre and state expext  8 north eastern and 3 Himalayan state for which it is 90:10. Period – 2019-20 to 2024-25. PMGSY –I was launched in 2000  with objective to provide single all weather road connectivity to eligible unconnected habitation.

4.                (Link it with No 1 point )In MP continuous rain has damaged Asia’s largest solar power projects in rewa, project was commissioned with 750 MW capacity in jul 2018 , project is a joint venture between  MP Urja Vikash Nigam Limited and Solar energy corporation  of India. First project to get funding from clean Technology fund in India also first solar park in India to get world bank funding.

5.                Union cabinet has approved the expenditure and various clearences for Dibang Multipurpose Projects (MPP) in Arunachal Pradesh. The Project is located on river Dibang in lower Dibang Vally District of Arunachal Pradesh. The project shall generate 2880 MW power.  Largest ever Hydro electric project to be constructed in India. The dam is 278 Mtr high and will be the highest dam in India once completed. Now Tehri dam of Utrakhand on Bhagirthi river  is highest dam hight is 261 mtr., than bhakra nagal on river Sutlaj in HP is 225 Mtr.

6.                (Also for Nepal )Motihari Amlekhgunj petrolieum pipeline has been successfully completed by India and the project will start commercial operation by august following virtual inaugration by executive heads of the two countries .pipeline is 69 KM constructed by India .supply of petroluem product to Nepal.

7.                (Also Security) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated Ujh and Basantar Bridge in Jammu & Kashmir. Ujh is located in Kathus and 617 meter long Basantar bridge located in Samba dist. Constructed by Border roan Organisation under project SAMPARK. Project sampark was raised by BRO in 1975 with its HQ in Jammu.

8.                India ranked 52nd in Global Innovation Index-2019, first time that the GII is being launched in an emerging economy. Theme- 2019 GII is creating Healthy Lives.

9.                India’s ambition Deep Ocean Mission” to be launched this year Dr Madhavan Rajeevan , secretary Union Ministry of earth Science- deep ocean mnerals will start from Oct 19.main Mission to explore and extract polymetallic nodules. These are small potatolike rounded accretion composed of minerals such as manganese, nickle, cobalt, copper and iron hydroxide. These metals can be used in – Electronic devices, Smartphones , batteries , Even Solar plants.

Concern- The International Seabed Authority (ISA) an autonomous international organisation     establised under the 1982 United nationa Convention the law of the Sea, allots  area for deep sea mining. India was the First country to receive th status of a pioneer Investor in 1987, was given area of about 1.5 lakh sq KM in the central Indian Oceans Basin for nadule Expolaration. Environmental Impact- According to International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) these deep remote locations can be home to Unique Species that have adapted themselves to conditions poor Oxygens and sulight , High pressure . deep sea biodiversity and ecology remains poor understood making it difficult to assess the environmental impact and frame adequate guidelines. After Chandrayaan India is planning to expolre the deep sea region with the Samudrayaan project. The Samudrayaan project proposed to send men into the deep sea in a submerible vehicle for ocean studies.

10.                 Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu inaugrated the nations longest electrified rail tunnel(6.6KM) between Cherlopalli and Rapuru and railway line between Venkatachaslam and Obulavaripalli(Andra Pradesh)

11.                Phase III of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in new delhi, launched.  The phase III of PMGSY aims at consolidation of 1,25,000 kms through routs and Major Rural links that connect habitations to Gramin Agriculture Markets(GrAMs), Higher Secondary School and Hospitals with an estimateed cost of Rs 80,250 crore (Central share of Rs 53800 crore ) for the period 2019-20 to 2024-25.
