1.     Globel estimate published by the world Health Org(WHO) indicate that about 1 in 3 (35 % ) women world wide have expirenced either phycical /sexual intimate partner violence or non partner sexual violence in their life time.

2.     Declined in women’s labour force participation from 31% to 24 % means  that India is among the countries with the lowest participation of women in the labour force. Rise in overall unemployment  has  two dimensional Locational and gender dimensions. We have to re examine the missing linkage between growth and employment.

5.     Female foeticide continues to increase at an alarming rate  as per Sample Registration System (SRS) data released in jul for the period 2015-2017. Sex ration at birth (SRB)has been dropping continuosly since census 2011 , coming down from 909 girls per thousand boys in 2013 to 896 girls in 2017. In period 2014-2016 out of 21 large states only kerala and Chhatisgarh had an SRB of above 950 girls per 1000 boys. My point – Every hospital in India should be connected through a system online , any delivery case in hospital should be entered on system with AADAR card and delivery status should be updated on the spot after delivery as boy / girl or any mishappening with maternal health . this will simplify our case of all data of counting of SRB, infant death ratio and meternal deaths. On the same time it should be connected to regional registrar for the name of child. Person should hav ea minimum charge. After that he/she can access via his mobile no on site and can process change name opetion upto three years age of child . parents were not sure about name till the schooling time of child. Fee should be increasing every time of change name request. This will reduse crowd in registrar office and help in good governance.

Data emerged from the first gender disaggregated enumeration of such crimes by the National Crime Record Bureau. 10.       India has slipped four places to 112th rank globally in terms of gander gap amid widening disparity in terms of women’s health and survival and economics particiapation. Iceland remains on top. The index measures the extent of gender based gaps on four key parameters- 1) Economic Participation and Opportunity 2) Educational attainment 3) Health and Survival 4) Political empowerment. Concern- Participation of women in the labour force is also among lowest in the world. Female estimated earned income is only one fifth of male income., India’s position (150th) on the very bottom of the Health and Survival subindex( determined-  skewed sex ration at birth, violence, forced marriage and discrimination in access to health) . Political empowerment (18th rank) is a good news.
