Orchha town of Madhya Pradesh has
been included in tentative list of the world
heritage of UNESCO. Situated on the banks of the river
Betwa in Niwari dist of Bundelkhand region.
Famous for two elevated minars – Saavan and Bhadon
and four places Jahangir place, Rai Praveen mahal, Raja
mahal and Sheesh Mahal .(The site houses Sri Ram raja mandir . It is the
only place in India where lord Ram is worshiped as king not as a deity.
2. Elephanta festival of art and Culture begins at the
iconic Gateway of India in Mumbai Maharastra.
Started in -2012 , held on gharapuri Island known as elephant island, where
elephant caves located.

Remarkable Achievement: India gets its 38th world UNESCO world Heritage site as PINK city Jaipur during 43rd session of
the world Heritage Committee held at Baku, Azerbaijan. India has 38 world
heritage site , that include 30 cultural properties , 7 natural properties and
mixed site.
4. Restoration
of 18th century Ghodbunder Fortr in Thane, Built by the Portuguese,
Under the states adopt a monuments scheme , adopted by Mira Bhayander Municiple
Corporation . Fort was built by the Portuguese in 1730 and later captured by
Marathas under Chimaji Appa in1737. Later British capture it in 1818 and make
ii HQ of dist adm for the east India company.

Taj Mahal- In Uttar Pradesh, Period – 17th
century , Built by emperor Shahjahan in memory of his third wife Begum Mumtaj
Mahal who had died in 1631. UNESCO world heritage list in 1983, under category
as a cultural property/monuments.
6. Kharachi Puja –
festival in Tripura, celebrated at Agartala in a temple premises of fourteen gods. Royal
puja falls in Jul on the eight day of the new moon. Kharachi is derived from
Khya whivch mean earth.
7. JATAN-
Ministry of Culture, JATAN is a virtual Museum software. , Full name : JATAN :
Virtual Museum Builder. Used for creating the digital collection in various
museums and digital archival tools that are used in background for managing the
National Portal and Digital Repository
for Indian Museums. Developed by Human Centers Design nad Computing (HCDC)
Group , C-DAC pune.
8. Odisha
delta site is 3600 years old remains reveal rural settelment with proto sun
worship , domesticated cattle. ASI discovered ancient artefacts and grains
during excavation at Bharati Huda in Jallarpur village in Odisha’s Cuttack
district last year .

Excavation commenced at Keezhadi (TN) , a
ring well has been unearthed. Ring , measuring 1.5 feet in diameter , are made
of terracotta , and five rings are visible now. Ring well is an indicator if
the advance water conservation techology of that period.
10. The
state Archaeology Department in Kozhikode has unearthed what it calls a
Megalithic era iron sword, a chisel and a few decorated pottery from a rock cut
cave at Pothuvachery in Kannur district. 105 cm sword found by Archaeology
Department is belived to be 2500 years old.
11. Nuakhai
Juhar major arrarian festival of WesternOdisha is celkebrated in every nook and
corner collectively with much fanfare and religious fervor.
12. Union
Minister of state for culture, Prahalad siongh patel, inaugrated an e-portal
and a you tube channel of Rashtriya centre for culture Resources and training
(CCRT) at an ‘Digital Bharat –Digital Sanskriti’ Programme being held at CCRT
HQ in New delhi. Union Minister also
release a book titled ;Dewas ki sanskritik parampra’ written by Jeevan singh
thkaur and published by CCRT.
13. A
new record was created in Ayodhya as six lakh earthen lamps or diyas ewre lit
on the banks of the river Saryu on the eve of Diwali. The Guinness World Record
certificate said “ The largest display of Oil lamps was achieved by the
Departmet of Tourism, Government of UP and Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya Awadh
University duriong Deepotsav 2019 in Ayodhya, UP. India on 26 Oct 2019.
14. Jallianwala
Bagh National Memorial (Amendment) Bill 2019 has been passed by RS, Earlier
passed in LS.
15. Valley
of Flowers- located in Uttarakhand and is known for its meadows of endemic
alpine flowers and the variety of flora.
16. According
to a study published in ‘Nature” a cave painting found on Indonesia’s island of
Sulawesi, Depicting Human like figures hunting animals appears to be the
earliest known pictorial record of story telling. Dated 44,000 years ago. The
name of cave is “Leang Bulu Sipong 4”
